The Holy Spirit will no longer draw such a person to Jesus. The sin is so terrible that it causes the Holy Spirit to stop convicting and convincing such a person about sin, righteousness and judgement. “The unpardonable sin is committed when a person knowingly and maliciously lashes out against the Holy Spirit. Kids will be kids.Īnyway, I’ll quote from the book now about why you have not committed the unforgivable sin. I remember being 8 years old learning about the unforgivable sin and I went outside and thought to myself “f*** you, Holy Spirit, I curse you” …. I bought it because I got incredible anxiety about the same issue last year. I think many Christians worry about the “unforgivable sin” so there’s a little book you can buy from Amazon by Jeremy Myers called “why you have not committed the unforgivable sin”. Please help heal me from these thoughts and remind me every day of how precious I am to you”. Thank you for loving me so much that I don’t have to worry for a minute about offending you with some thing I can’t control. If you want to address it with God you can just say some thing like “ God I know you know my heart and that this is not how I feel. I am no professional but I would just gently suggest that when you get a thought like that you just remind yourself that it is not how you feel and you don’t want to have that thought. As a result of an anxiety disorder, I used to have intrusive thoughts and I would have to tell myself that this is not how I really feel and this is not what I want it’s just my brain being ridiculous. Unwanted and uncontrolled thoughts are certainly not some thing that would ever upset God. What separates us from God is when we consciously choose and desire to do some thing that is against him. If I, as a human, can read your post and have compassion and completely understand what you’re going through, just imagine what an all knowing and all loving God understands.
